Solar Power 3.5: Testing

Just a little testing. There's no way to see how much current the solar panel is generating (not that there'd be much to generate in the basement-level lab), but some residual power in the battery was able to charge up my phone.


Next step is to actually build the box for all these electronic parts. They already feel pretty delicate and like they could break easily, so they need a solid enclosure. 

EDIT: I forgot to mention a very important piece of wire: the 1N4001 Diode. This diode, soldered into the circuit (and hidden underneath the black heat-shrink tubing on the DC plug) prevents the (potentially destructive) back-flow of electricity into the solar panel when the cells aren't generating any current.
